March 2022. Altered duvet with old clothing and fabric scraps connected with yarn, twine, thread, and wire.
The body remembers even if the mind does not. In "somethings missing." I focus on the relationship traumatic memory loss has with the stomach and its sibling organs. The missing memories may be gone from the brain, but the tossing and turning, stomach aches, bad shits, and vomiting are more than enough to replace what's lost. The duvet used as the "body" of the piece is cut up, the remains used as a trail of unbalanced organ activity, a trail to remembrance.
